Editorial Policy
Austria Vignette Hub is committed to providing accurate, balanced and transparent information about the Austrian digital vignette system. Our editorial standards include: All factual claims are cross-referenced against official ASFINAG publications and Austrian federal legislation. Pricing information is reviewed quarterly and updated within 5 business days of any official change. We do not publish sponsored content or paid placements without clear disclosure. We do not exaggerate claims, use superlatives without evidence, or make guarantees about outcomes.
Accuracy and Updates
While we strive for accuracy, road toll regulations and pricing can change. This site is for informational purposes only. Always verify current prices and rules at the official ASFINAG website before making a purchase. Austria Vignette Hub accepts no liability for decisions made based on information from this site.
Vignette Refund Policy
Refunds are available for vignettes cancelled before the validity start date. Cancellation must be made through the ASFINAG online portal using your order number and registered email. No refund is possible once the validity period has begun. Processing time for refunds is typically 5 to 10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Complaints and Appeals Process
If you have received a fine you believe is incorrect, the following process applies:
- Gather evidence: Purchase confirmation email, vehicle registration document, photos of your licence plate.
- Submit a written appeal to ASFINAG within 4 weeks of the fine notice, including order number, vehicle plate, date of travel and explanation.
- ASFINAG will respond within 6 weeks. If unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Austrian Federal Administrative Court.
- For consumer disputes, the Austrian Arbitration Board (Schlichtungsstelle) can mediate.
- Contact: ASFINAG Kundenservice, Rotenturmstrasse 5-9, 1010 Wien.
